No.4 Hamilton Place sets the stage for OMEGA’s ‘Her Time House’ in London

Monday, April 3, 2023 - 16:30

No.4 Hamilton Place, a magnificent heritage venue set in Mayfair, has played host to many glittering events for more than a century. The grand Edwardian-era house was proud to recently host the OMEGA ‘Her Time House,’ a public exhibition and private members club designed as a special sanctuary for exclusive members and guests. OMEGA transformed No. 4 Hamilton Place into an intimate venue which celebrated over 100 years of OMEGA’s historical legacy in women’s watchmaking.

No. 4 Hamilton Place was built in 1907 and decorated in the Louis XVI style, with many original features still in place today, such as gilt cornicing, spectacular chandeliers, and ornate window fixtures. The Grade ll listed building, which hosts thousands of guests every year, works with Blue Strawberry, the venue’s exclusive catering and hospitality partner, to design menus of gastronomic excellence which pay tribute to the venue’s unique and stunning spaces.

The ‘Her Time House’ exhibition has travelled around the world since 2015 with stops in Madrid, Milan, Shanghai, Paris and St. Petersburg. London was the first city to host the exhibition alongside a members-only pop-up.

Upon walking through the doors of No. 4 Hamilton Place, guests were welcome to enjoy the public exhibition, complete with white and gold touches evoking warmth and femininity. The first floor was a private space for members who were met with a beautifully designed dining space complete with several bars and sitting areas to mingle over cocktails and light food options.

To champion inspirational women, OMEGA partnered with an all-women-led catering business, Blue Strawberry, as well as an events management and design team, Seal + Sherlock, who managed the project.

The menu, which changed every few days throughout the month of March included light mains such as the mille-feuille of avocado and spring greens, kohlrabi, chard tomato vinegar (vegan); Burrata topped with strawberry vierge, olive tapenade and crispy basil; Pulled lamb shoulder with chilli, fresh mint oil and watermelon; Cured trout and samphire with stout and pumpkin seed bread; Braised Welsh wagyu beef cheek, celeriac, swede and shallot sauce; and Goosnargh chicken breast topped with Iberico ham and red chicory, pomme puree & black truffle. Desserts included an almond and pear tart topped with caramelised almonds and salted almond ice cream, as well as a delicious Eton mess. In honour of OMEGA’s Swiss heritage, the menu included speciality-themed days such as Swiss Day. Dishes included Zurcher geschnetzeltes - pork and mushroom ragout, and the Zuger Kirschtorte - a Swiss cherry torte. The bar and lounge menu were complete with delicious nibbles such as meat and vegan charcuterie boards, homemade rustic root vegetable crisps and fresh English cheeses.

The second floor boasted a beautiful private dining room which hosted up to 20 guests. Highlights from the menus included a citrus cured seabass sashimi with smoked yoghurt, orange and dill; Scottish salmon ballotine, fennel and yuzu gazpacho, caviar and crème cru; Basil agnolotti of truffle ricotta, confit egg yolk, sweet onion puree and Riesling sauce; and a slow roasted pineapple, tamarind caramel and coconut sorbet dessert.
